At the payment hut to enter the state park, there was a sign that read: “Need 1’s and 5’s.” This wasn’t something handwritten or typed on paper, but rather a metal sign that indicated having enough smaller bills was an ongoing problem.
Instead of resolving the issue by regularly having the needed denominations available, someone decided that making a permanent sign would be a better solution. It was not!
If you find yourself in need of ongoing fixes, the answer is to address the systemic problem instead of turning to others to help mitigate your issue. The sign should have been a sign to management that the process itself needed to be reworked.
