Our area was hit with a major snowstorm over the weekend, and as soon as the flakes started to fly, my social media feed was filled with requests for help in shoveling. People posted desperate pleas for someone to clear driveways, sidewalks, and even commercial spaces. What? This is December in Iowa — of course, it is going to snow. Of course, people will need to clear their property. It makes no sense that so many waited until the precipitation was actually on the ground before seeking assistance.
What is the equivalent of snow for you or your organization? You know that tax season is coming — have you lined up an accountant? Spring will follow winter — the time is now to arrange for mowing. Summer vacation properties are filling up — maybe start planning for that.
If you wait until the last minute, you may or may not find the service you need, but you’re almost guaranteed to find stress!
