Over the weekend, I went to a craft sale held in the fellowship hall of a church. As I exited, I was struck by this sign: “You are now entering the Mission Field.” It’s a great reminder that it’s not enough just to attend services, but rather to live a life that exemplifies and shares what those services are about.
Many organizations could do more to enhance their “exit strategy” as this church has done. Doctors’ offices could have signs about being healthy, dentists with a reminder to floss, or schools with a ‘don’t let the dog eat your homework’ sign, etc.
Think about how to continue your message when people walk out your door or drive off the lot. A sign could offer direction on how to act, not just which way to turn.
